Powder coating is an advanced method of applying protective and decorative finishes to a wide range of materials and products. A mixture of finely ground pigment particles and resin make up the dry powder which is applied electrostatically and then cured in an oven. This curing process is also known as crosslinking, which melts and flows the powder until it chemically reacts to form a higher molecular weight polymer in a network-like structure.
Powder coating provides industries with the most economical, high quality and color-durable finishes available. Powder coated surfaces are more resistant to chipping, scratching, fading, and wearing than other finishes. Color selection is unlimited, with high and low gloss, metallic, and clear finishes available. Due to UV resistance of many powders, colors stay bright and vibrant longer. Texture selections can range from smooth surfaces to a wrinkled or matte finish, and rough textures are designed for hiding surface imperfections.

Wet Painting
Wet painting has complimentary benefits to powder coating. Wet paint is ideal for parts which cannot be heated since powder coating requires an oven. Wet paint also has a wider range of colors, can produce thinner finishes and is more economical for smaller sized jobs.
